Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
This page lists everything VetDoze stores in your browser: the cookies, the things that are not cookies but behave like them, what each one does, and how to change your mind about the optional ones.
The short version
- Most of what we store is needed for the site to work: staying signed in, remembering English or Persian, remembering dark or light.
- The only optional thing is product analytics, which tells us which screens are slow or broken.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing optional runs until you accept. Everywhere else it starts with the page and you can reject it at any time.
- We run no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking, and we sell nothing to anyone.
2. How your choice is applied
Two rules, depending on where you are when you load the page. We work this out from the country your connection resolves to, not from anything stored on your device.
| Where you are | What happens |
|---|---|
| EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland | Analytics stay off until you accept. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, nothing optional is written and no analytics request is sent. |
| Everywhere else | Analytics start with the page and the banner tells you so. Rejecting switches them off and the choice sticks. |
If we cannot tell where you are, you get the first rule. Strictly necessary cookies are set either way, because without them the site cannot keep you signed in or remember which language you read.
4. Browser storage that is not a cookie
These live in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us automatically the way a cookie is; the application reads them on the device to avoid asking you the same thing twice.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| vetdose_analytics_consent, vetdose_analytics_consent_at | Your answer to the analytics banner and when you gave it, so we do not ask again and can show what was agreed. |
| theme | The dark or light choice, held alongside the cookie so the page can pick it up before it paints. |
| vetdoze:phoneCountry | The country code you last used in a phone field. |
| vetdose_onboarding_seen, vetdose_sample_intro_seen, vetdoze-clinic-welcome, vetdose_tour_v2_seen, vetdose_tour_v2_progress | Which one-time introductions you have already been shown, so they do not reappear. |
| vetdose_engage_prompt_snooze | When you last dismissed the notifications prompt, so it waits before asking again. |
| vetdose_pending_plan | The plan you selected before signing in, so checkout resumes where you left off. |
| vd_chunk_recovery | A short-lived marker used to recover from a failed page load after we ship an update. |
| Analytics keys (ph_...) | The analytics provider's own storage, written only once analytics are allowed. |
5. What analytics does and does not see
We use one product analytics provider and one page measurement service. Between them they record which pages were opened, which buttons were pressed on the public site, how long things took, and any error the application hit.
Once you sign in, that measurement is linked to your account, including your name and email address. We are explicit about this because a banner that calls it anonymous would be wrong.
What never reaches them
Inside the application we switch off the automatic click recording that would otherwise capture the text of whatever you clicked, because on a patient chart that text is a client's name or a line of a note.
Session replay, where it runs, is masked so that text does not appear in the recording.
Case referral links and clinic invitation links contain a secret token. We remove that token before anything is sent, and a referral page is not measured at all.
No consultation audio, transcript, note, client detail, or patient record is ever sent to an analytics provider.
6. Changing your mind
- Use the banner. Reject switches analytics off and keeps them off on this browser.
- Clear this site's data in your browser settings. The banner will ask again on your next visit.
- Block analytics with a browser extension or a privacy-focused browser. Nothing in VetDoze depends on analytics, so no feature stops working.
- Write to sina@vetdoze.com and we will exclude your account from measurement entirely, on every device.
Refusing costs you nothing. There is no feature, no limit, and no price that depends on your answer.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off from inside the site, because they are what makes it work. You can block them in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
7. Changes to this page
We update this page whenever we add, remove, or repurpose anything stored in your browser. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
