Custom Drug Packages in VetDoze: Real-World Dose Calculations
Published on August 19, 2026
Veterinary medications are not always available in the same concentration or package around the world. Different pharmaceutical companies may offer the same medication in different formulations, concentrations, or package sizes depending on the country and market.
This creates a simple but important challenge for veterinary professionals: a drug calculator cannot realistically include every possible formulation available worldwide.
That’s why we’ve introduced “Add a package” in the VetDoze Drug Calculator.

Save the Drug Formulations You Use in Your Clinic
VetDoze already includes many commonly used drug packages and concentrations. However, you can now add your own formulations to the Drug Calculator and save them for future use.
Whether you commonly work with a specific concentration expressed in mg/kg, µg/kg, mg/mL, or another relevant format, you can create a custom package based on the medication you actually have available in your clinic.
Once saved, your custom package can be selected when calculating a dose, making the process faster and more convenient.

Built for Real-World Veterinary Practice
We know that veterinary medicine doesn't happen in a standardized environment. The medications available to a veterinarian in Germany may differ from those available in the United States, Iran, Australia, or elsewhere.
Instead of trying to maintain an enormous database containing every possible commercial formulation, VetDoze gives veterinarians the flexibility to personalize their drug calculator according to the medications they actually use.
This means your Drug Calculator can adapt to your practice—not the other way around.
Common Packages + Your Own Packages
VetDoze continues to provide commonly used drug formulations out of the box. But if the concentration or package you use isn't already available, you don't have to wait for it to be added to the database.
Just add it yourself and save it for future calculations.
This new feature makes the VetDoze Drug Calculator more flexible and better suited to the diversity of veterinary practices around the world.
